Party dresses inspo

Hello ladies,

Okay so a lot of people are texting me "Blondie, do you know any good webshops to buy an awesome New Years Eve dress". Well little diva, I think we all know the answer to that question!

So I decided to dedicate a post to my favorite webshops for partydresses. I'll start by saying that I really like sequin dresses to wear during the holidays aaanddd black is my happy colour + I eat what I want these days and we all know black is slimming! (I'm not a size 0 so I do have my tricks)

I didn't make plans about where to spend New Years Eve just yet and I don't think that I will be making plans because I think it's a bit overrated (it's my birthday too btw). Buuutttt that doesn't mean that I don't spend my time looking at pretty dresses so here we go:

The pictures I will be using here are directly used from the website which is mentioned.

1.  Clouds Of Fashion

Clouds Of Fashion is a store located in Antwerp. The owner of the shop, Laurentine has really good taste when it comes to fashion and fashion must-haves! Because she herself is still quite young, she understands the needs of her customers! Here is my absolute favorite party item of the webshop:

If you're interested in buying this dress, you can find it here

And ladies, this is no joke, this strapless baby is on sale!!

2. Boohoo

So I have to tell you this, sometimes there's a little problem with Boohoo, namely: it changes your country automatically. With me, they change my country to the Netherlands. But there are items which are sold out in the Netherlands which are still available when I change my country to EUR instead of NL. So make sure you check them both (there might be a small price difference as well).

Okay so to the point here! Boohoo is a webshop which I use a lot! Especially during summer actually but they do have a wide range for party dresses as well and this is the one I would wear

If this is the dress you see yourself in, in a couple of days, get it here

I like this because it has long sleeves, a bit of cleavage and it's so swingy!

3. Tigermist

Tigermist is a webshop which I've gotten to know 2 or 3 years ago when I was shopping for playsuits. They have the most awesome and unique dresses for summer. Aaaanddd also for winter they have a lot of pretty stuff! My favourite piece for the holidays is this one:

 Find this pretty baby here

I don't think this one will be delivered before the 31st but hey, this webshop has a lot more to offer than just pretty party dresses!

This webshop is from Australia as well, so there's a chance that your order won't get here on time if you are searching for something for New Years Eve. But Xenia Boutique is selling everything to dress you up from top to bottom so it's definitely worth to take a look here. Why not wear a long dress during the holidays?

I know the picture isn't very clear but you can shop this dress here

The best thing about this dress is that you can wear it in many different ways (click the link for pictures). Aaand because it's a very soft khaki, you can wear it during summer as well.

5. Missguided

I bought a New Years Eve dress from Missguided 2 years ago. It was love at first sight to be honest. My brother bought it for me as a birthdaypresent. So now every time that December 31st comes close, I make sure to check the Missguided webshop.

 Shop this beauty here

I really love how simple but yet sophisticated this dress is! I couldn't wear this because I'm a bit too pale right now but I would recommend this too people who have been tanning for the holidays. The lace part on top makes the dress look really classy and the skirt is really swingy which makes it a bit more playful, definitely a winner!

If you need something simple but pretty and from a good price range, you have to visit the Lookbook Store webshop!

Seriously, the back of this dress!

I wouldn't be able to pull this one off but I'm sure this will look awesome on a girl with a small size! I really can't stop looking at it! Maybe I should go to the gym again...

7. Nelly

Welcome to Nellyville! Well that's from a song actually... Nelly is another webshop which I visit quite often. My favorite products there are their shoes, boots in particular. But they have awesome party clothes as well, let's check it out.

Shop this black beauty here

Okay, okay, I'm aware of the fact that my subject said "Party Dresses Inspo" and that this item is a jumpsuit. But you do have to admit, this jumper looks great! And what's wrong with dressing up casual for the holidays?

8. Asos

Last but not least, it might be the most known webshop of all: Asos!

Get this petite see through stunner right here

The dress is see through but it covers everything you don't want to show off. It still leaves a bit of imagination to your date.

So these were my favorite webshops and my favorite party dresses. At most websites you can choose for "express shipping" and you will get your outfit in 3 to 5 days at home. Soooo don't think about it too long!!

Wishing you all nice holidays

Bombing Saturdays

Hey babes,

I hope your Christmas was better than mine! I've been quite sick for a couple of days now so I went to the doctor yesterday. What he told me: take your meds, get in your bed and stay there. Which means I had a lot of time to get outfit-inspired today. I use Instagram a lot to get inspired for my clothing. For today's outfit I chose something simple & added sunglasses because have you seen this weather???!!!!
Sunglasses: www.sunglassspot.com
Blouse: Donaldson
Bomberjacket: Bershka
Jeans: Zara
Shoes: Adidas

I overthink my outftis quite often, especially for my bomberjacket. I was looking for one for quite a while now and I found this one at Bershka. When I think about the things I would combine it with: black (ripped) jeans, blue jeans, white shirt, black top,... But when I wear black, I start thinking that my leather jacket looks better with that outfit, when I wear white in winter I think I should combine it with grey or black,... As I said, I'm an overthinker but I believe I'm not the only one who has this problem??

To be honest, I am utterly in love with Sunglassspot! All their sunglasses are 5 dollars! The shippingcosts are quite high though and it takes like 14 days for the sunnies to get here but when you get them, you are the happiest you can be! You can order up to 6 items and pay almost 20 dollar shipping costs, if you order more than 6 sunnies, you will have to pay a bit more. I don't say this to brag, but most sunglasses fit me quite well. So I don't need to try them on first. I highly recommend you to visit the Sunglassspot website, you'll be amazed about how many different sunglasses they offer! PS: if you really want to order and you don't get up to 6 sunglasses, let me know cause I can always use some more sunnies!

So that's it for my "Bombing Saturdays"-post. As you can see down below I had to take a picture with my cat as well, couldn't leave the opportunity to pose with her haha

Blowing out birthday candles

Hey sweeties,

Yesterday I had my pre-birthdayparty at Wijnhuis Vinhmm... The idea was not to get drunk, I just wanted to spend some time with my friends for my upcomming bday which is on 31st December by the way ;)

So obviously I had to look better than the usual "just-got-out-of-bed-and-not-interested-in-doing-anything-look". No just kidding... but I did have my hair and nails done. And there was a new dress hanging in my closset, ready to be worn!

So I had my nails done by the amazing An from Haar- en nagelstudio An in Herenthout. I chose for this bordeaux red because it fits every outfit during the holidays and it looks so elegant. I chose for round ones, just to try it because I normally have straight nails and I wanted to do something different.

My hair was done by one of my friends, the lovely Jens Vriamont. If you want to get a lovely beachwave of We-heart-it/tumblr-curls, this is your guy! He did my hair in one of my previous posts as well (read Project "Hair").

And ofcourse, I ordered my dress a month early. I got this dress at Boohoo.com. You can't see it in these pictures but it's all black, it has a really deep V-neck but I had my mom stitch it up a bit because for me it was a bit too much. And the back are crossed leather straps with studs on them.

I organised my small party at Wijnhuis Vinhmm... in Herentals. It's a small winebar located in the citycenter of Herentals. They have a winecellar where you can give small parties or meetings for 4 to 15 people, which was perfect for me. To top it all off, they have a gin named "Sharish" and at my party I served wine from South Africa named "Van Loveren" I know that my name is spelled with 2 o's but hey, I think this is pretty cool! I got there a couple of days early just to decorate everything the way I like it and this is the result:

I want to thank all my friends who were there to join me at my birthdayparty, I really feel blessed to have you all by my side. A big thank you for all the lovely presents which you guys brought, you are the best!

& Oh yeah, I blew the candles on my cake all at once, hope my wish will come true!

Love

Sunny side up

The reason why today's post is called "sunny side up" is the following: it's December 8, it's wintertime. I should be wearing cosy sweaters, big coats, a scarf, gloves and uggs. I haven't worn any of those just yet. I still manage to go to work without a coat. And I'm still wearing my sunglasses almost every day. I am not complaining!

You see, I have two types of clothing. I like summer, because I always wear pretty clothes, nice dresses, cute little tops,... all very colourful things. And then there's winter. During winter I mostly wear black, it just fits me. But, I think I had a throwback to summer with my outfit today. Let's have a look.

Sunglasses: Rayban
Blouse: Pimkie
Bernadette: Coccas Noorderwijk
Pochette: Louis Vuitton
Jeans: Pimkie
Shoes: Nike Force

I bought these pants in two different colours. I really love the fact that they're just above my ancles. I like to wear my Nike Force sneakers to work just because my feet don't hurt in them but take care when I take them off, the smell is overwhelming hahahah (maybe a bit too honest).

I also got people believing I got a new tattoo yesterday. I'm having a small get together for my birthday in a couple of days and I don't want to wear accessories. Instead I want to have some fake tattoos. I tried one yesterday, took a picture of it and put it on Facebook. I immediately got so many comments of people asking me if I got a new tattoo. Right after I got those comments, I put an extra caption on the picture saying:

"Just another confirmation that people only tend to see what they want to see. They see a picture of someone smiling and immediately think that person is happy. They see a picture of a happy couple but they don't know the guy is cheating. They see a girl posing half naked for a picture and they call her cheap. The tattoo isn't real, it's just a sticker. Look behind the surface, you'll be surprised of how reality really looks like."

Think about it.

Glitz & glam

It's the moooost wonderful tiiiimeee, of the yeeeaaaarrr!

And what's the thing that is so typical for the holidays? Yes, glitterzzzzz, including the new, awesome pants I bought last week!

So what happened was, I got to school to meet up with my group for French and there's this awesome blondie in my team Lisa Pauwels. If there's one person who's closet I want to own it's definitely hers. She knows what to buy and how to combine her clothes.
But the core of this story: Lisa was wearing these awesome glitter joggingpants from H&M. They were really cheap and they looked so comfy and I just knew I needed them! So under our little lunchbreak, I went to H&M, you need to be impulsive sometimes. Look at my amazing holiday outfit:

Sunglasses: Rayban
Necklace: Forever 21
Top: H&M
Leather jacket: Forever 21
Pants: H&M
Shoes: Adidas

The only thing you need to make sure is that you first try the pants on before buying them. Me and Lisa as well got ourselves a size smaller than we normally have. Just because these are joggingpants and they stretch.

There's also a sweater available in the same fabric & colour so get you ass off that couch and get to the nearest H&M store to get these beauties!

Project "Hair"

Today I want to talk to you about something I got addicted to, but is it a good addiction or not, you decide.

So a couple of years ago, me and a friend were talking about extensions. I really liked the idea of having very long hair and not having to wait for it. So a couple of weeks later I got my first clips. They were really cheap but I just bought them to see how it would look on me, the colour wasn't even the same.

I started to do some research and I found out that there was something called "a weave". It means that they make little braids in your hair and they put the extensions on them. I decided to get them. It wasn't pretty at all! I got the wrong type of haircolour and the woman who put them in, did 3 layers on one braid. This meant that my hear looked really thick and not natural at all! I kept them in for 3 weeks maybe and then I got them out with a fork... My own hair was still quite okay but I did feel that it became less thick.

So a couple months after that I bought new clips. The colour was the same as my own hair and the quality of the hair itself was really good. But when you wear clips, it takes you a lifetime to put them in and I don't really have thick hair so you see them most of the time.

There was a new hairsalon in town and they did weaves as well. I was quite insecure about it at first but the girl guaranteed me she wouldn't make my hair look thick. So I just got with it. She told me it would cost me about 350 euro and I was ok with that. She took a picture from my own hair so that she would know which colour to buy (that's not normal, I know). A couple days later I went to the salon and got my new hair. I was really happy with it at first! Look at these pretty curles!

I was so happy with my hair until I got to the register. The girl who did my hair suddenly changed her mind about the price we arranged. She asked me 500 euro in total. I couldn't do anything about it so I just paid it. She guaranteed me that I could use this hair for a lifetime and that this was the reason the price increased soooo much. 3 weeks later my braids were falling out and I had to get my extensions out again. I noticed some bald spots at the place where they started. I went nuts!

I still wanted to have long hair but what were my options? I started to talk to my friends about it whom had some experience with extensions. That's how I got to know Melissa Dams. She uses the extensions of Great Hair. These are extensions which come from Italy or India. She has been placing extensions for a couple of years now so I trusted my hair to her.
First I had to go to her place to see which colour she had to order. She told me she wanted to use 2 colours, one blonde and one a bit more brown. I let her do her thing and a couple of days after I had my appointment. I was so happy! I had them in for 4 months. The quality of the hair is excellent! And when I got them out, my hair was still the same as before! This girl really made my summer!

This picture was taken right after the first time I got my Great Hair extensions. As you can see the colour is exactly the same as my own haircolour thanks to the professional approach of Melissa.

What I love about Great Hair is that when you wash them, they have like a beachwave. I think this looks really natural and messy at the same time, I love it!

These last 2 pictures are taken a couple of days ago. These are my new extensions, ready for another 4 monts at least! If you want to know more about my experiences with these extensions, don't hesitate to contact me, I will tell you all about it! Make sure to check their website as well: www.greathairextensions.nl

I know someone who's gonna look great during the holidays...

Where does the money go?

To my newest wallet from Paul's Boutique oh yeeaahhhh!!

There are certain things which I don't buy very often but I do realise I really need them, like a wallet... I bought the red one when I was at Topshop London in 2011. I didn't use or buy any other wallet since then.

I had this wallet for 4 years and it doesn't have any sentimental value but then again, I wouldn't want to trade it for any other wallet! The thing about this one is that it has so many places to store your cards, it's unreal!

I searched for so long for the right wallet to fit all my cards in, but I really couldn't find it. I knew that this one was out of stock in every shop! Butttt, apparently I'm a lucky girl and I found the same one but in a different colour. You don't have to ask me twice, ofcourse I bought it!

This wallet comes in different colours: the bronze which I have now, the red which I had and also a black one. If I could, I would buy them all! Maybe I should keep looking for them since this is thé one!

Talk to you soon
