The Vilnius report

Hello boys & girls!

Guess what, I'm baaacckk!!! Aaand I have so much to tell you, and so many places I have to show you! There are a lot of things that have happend in those 2 months that I didn't blog. For example, went to Vilnius, did my internship, went to Bordeaux, graduated, got a job (not necessarily in that order)... But I will tell you all about it in my next posts. I'll do it one per one and we'll start with my Vilnius adventure.

So from 1-5 May, 4 students of our school were asked to participate on an international project. Since I've done 2 IP's before, the school asked me if I wasn't interested in going to Vilnius for a couple of days. How can I say no to a small trip??

So there it was, the 1st May... It was shortly after the attacks at Brussels Airport so I had to be at the airport 3 hours in advance. I totally couldn't find my way around the buildings and the waiting lines were really big so I was really happy when I finally got to my gate.

I went out the night before and I was still a bit tired and maybe even sick (if you know what I mean, talking about a hangover...) But it was so funny because I knew the flight attendant and she gave me chocolates so my trip couldn't have started any better! ;)

It was early in the evening when we finally got to our hotel. No one of the other countries was there so we went to explore the city with just the 4 of us. Went for a nice Chinese dinner and called it a day.

The next day we met the other participants and we were divided into small groups to work on a specific theme. The weather in Vilnius was quite good for that time of the year so I couldn't wait to go out that evening!

That next day we had to get up sooo early to visit some companies. It was a 2h long trip with the bus but thank god they had wifi! I enjoyed myself by making silly snapchats.

I didn't go out in Vilnius because I had to finish my bachelor thesis for school since graduating was more important than beerpong. I have my responsible days as well ;)

There was one thing that I loved about Vilnius. I don't remember the name of the store but 500m from our apartment there was a frozen yoghurt/cupcake store. I felt like I was in heaven! The girl even gave me a customer card and I managed to get 3 stamps so don't even ask how many times a day I passed the store...

Our trip was coming to an end and we (the girls) decided to go out for dinner together. We didn't know where to go but we had a very nice evening. It was on a Friday and so many young people were out on the streets, preparing for a night out.

There are many things to see in Vilnius and everything is quite cheap in comparison to what you pay in Belgium and this goes for everything. They have a lot of pretty buildings and there was a festival the day we had to leave. They had like different "foodtrucks" in the city center from all different countries and their specialities. If you would like any tips about where to go, don't hesitate to contact me!

Lots of love
Charis x
