Turkey day 3

Rise and shine my loves, 

It's so hard to post about my holiday in Turkey. When I see all these pictures I just want to drive to the airport and get on a plane. I've said it before and I'll say it again, my holiday was awesome and I'm not even talking about the weather now.

So about day 3, I had an all black kind of day, lovely! 

I had my doubts if I should bring my Isabel Marant's on holiday and to be honest, I'm glad I did because I wear them anytime I'm wearing black. They fit with skinny jeans, a dress, shorts, a skirt,... What I'm wearing here are shorts but they look a bit like a skirt. They are from Bershka, I was looking for a pleaded skirt but I couldn't find it but then I found these shorts and I was so happy. The top, I bought that a couple of years ago in Zara Budapest, it is actually waaayyyy too big but you don't really notice it, only if you pay attention. Glasses are from Sunglassspot, obviously and the hat is the one I bought at Iam at the airport. 

Okay, I had to take some pictures to make other people jealous right, well here we go: 

Like seriously, who wouldn't want to be in this place. The weather, the water, the food, I have no complaints at all!

 I'll show you my 2 favorite places of the hotel. 

This is the pier. You had 2 different ones, one where everyone could go and one which was +16. We always went to the regular one which was accessible for everyone. There's also a waiter who comes by every once in a while to ask what you want so you don't have to get up from your sunbed ;). When there was no wind, this was the place to be, but in the afternoon it could get a little bit chilly and that's when I found my second spot.

 

Everyone knows how much I love the beach! If you don't know that about me, you don't know me at all! I even have this tradition that no matter what happens, I need to see the beach on my birthday, yes 31 December! Not really a time to go to the beach but I made it a tradition so no way back. I just love to be on the beach because a lot of people were lying at the several pools and when I go on a holiday, I need my rest. It's at places like these where I think about everything that is happening in my life. It's my calm spot.

I'm not really a person that likes to go out a lot so on day 3 I went to bed early again.

Army of lovers

Hey babes, 

First of all, I want to thank you guys for reading, I've been getting so many comments on my blog and I love you all for that! Remember, I'm open for suggestions. 

So today was a good day... It was raining this morning but my best friend named "Sun" came out this afternoon and it immediately put a smile on my face!

See l got a lot of money for my birthday and for Christmas and stuff, so I thought I'd buy myself something new. So for my birthday I bought this awesome oversized sweater from O'ren saying "Petit Belge" (I'll take pictures later). I bought it in Knokke, at Just Julia. I also saw this sweater there saying "Army of lovers" I didn't buy it but ofcourse when I got home, I did have some regrets about not buying it. 

Soooooo, I sent Just Julia a message, and thanks to the perfect service she offers, I got my sweater a couple of days later & here it is: 

There was a girl on Instagram who asked me for my size for the "Petit Belge" sweater, and it's an XS because it was the last one, but it fit me quite right. Now this one, is a size M which means it's quite oversized but that's what I love about this green must-have!

 

I wasn't sure about white shoes during winter but hey, since when do I care about what other people think? That's right, I don't!

We all know I'm a sunglass-addict! And I had ordered some newpsies at Sunglassspot.com. I always order 6 pieces because they are really cheap and you can order up to 6 sunglasses for fixed shipping costs. I found these awesome Dior-inspired sunglasses. I knew I had to buy them when I saw them and so I did... Being summerproof during winter, nothing wrong with that!

Silly blondie

Silly blondie, walking down the street, silly blondie...

Every brunette needs a silly blonde by her side? Well, honestly I don't care what haircolour my friends have, I'm always the silly blonde to each one of them. It's the truth, I can't act normal for my blogpictures!

So first things first, I know I haven't been blogging lately but I've been really busy. So chica's, I wish you all a very Happy New Year, I hope you had the best time and may all your wishes come true! 

The thing I like about the holidays is the money you get from your family and that you can spend them on saaaallleeessss!!!

Sweater: H&M

I absolutely love to find a piece which fits me and is on sale. And to be honest, I found some these last couple of days. I was looking for something particular, a pleated skirt, preferrably in leather. So I went down the shopping streets of Antwerp, looking for this particular piece...



I didn't find my skirt though buuutttt I did find pleated shorts! Because they are really wide, you can't really tell if they are shorts or a skirt. I found this one at Bershka aaaanddd I had the last oneee (happy girl!!). Ofcourse I checked out some other stores too and I found this basic black sweater at H&M. I really like the caption "out of your league" which is printed on it and you can never have too many black sweaters. You can see it on the picture beneath, I combined it with a white shirt to top my look off.

 

I did have a hard time combining this with shoes. I mean, I can wear several types of boots with this but the shorts are just above my knee so it will make my legs look shorter if I wear boots underneath. I could also go for sneakers but then I'll look like Santa's little helper. Sooo I chose for warm and fuzzy feet with my black medium high Ugg's.

Project "Hair"

Today I want to talk to you about something I got addicted to, but is it a good addiction or not, you decide. 

So a couple of years ago, me and a friend were talking about extensions. I really liked the idea of having very long hair and not having to wait for it. So a couple of weeks later I got my first clips. They were really cheap but I just bought them to see how it would look on me, the colour wasn't even the same. 

I started to do some research and I found out that there was something called "a weave". It means that they make little braids in your hair and they put the extensions on them. I decided to get them. It wasn't pretty at all! I got the wrong type of haircolour and the woman who put them in, did 3 layers on one braid. This meant that my hear looked really thick and not natural at all! I kept them in for 3 weeks maybe and then I got them out with a fork... My own hair was still quite okay but I did feel that it became less thick. 

So a couple months after that I bought new clips. The colour was the same as my own hair and the quality of the hair itself was really good. But when you wear clips, it takes you a lifetime to put them in and I don't really have thick hair so you see them most of the time. 

There was a new hairsalon in town and they did weaves as well. I was quite insecure about it at first but the girl guaranteed me she wouldn't make my hair look thick. So I just got with it. She told me it would cost me about 350 euro and I was ok with that. She took a picture from my own hair so that she would know which colour to buy (that's not normal, I know). A couple days later I went to the salon and got my new hair. I was really happy with it at first! Look at these pretty curles! 

I was so happy with my hair until I got to the register. The girl who did my hair suddenly changed her mind about the price we arranged. She asked me 500 euro in total. I couldn't do anything about it so I just paid it. She guaranteed me that I could use this hair for a lifetime and that this was the reason the price increased soooo much. 3 weeks later my braids were falling out and I had to get my extensions out again. I noticed some bald spots at the place where they started. I went nuts!

I still wanted to have long hair but what were my options? I started to talk to my friends about it whom had some experience with extensions. That's how I got to know Melissa Dams. She uses the extensions of Great Hair. These are extensions which come from Italy or India. She has been placing extensions for a couple of years now so I trusted my hair to her. 
First I had to go to her place to see which colour she had to order. She told me she wanted to use 2 colours, one blonde and one a bit more brown. I let her do her thing and a couple of days after I had my appointment. I was so happy! I had them in for 4 months. The quality of the hair is excellent! And when I got them out, my hair was still the same as before! This girl really made my summer!

This picture was taken right after the first time I got my Great Hair extensions. As you can see the colour is exactly the same as my own haircolour thanks to the professional approach of Melissa.



What I love about Great Hair is that when you wash them, they have like a beachwave. I think this looks really natural and messy at the same time, I love it!





These last 2 pictures are taken a couple of days ago. These are my new extensions, ready for another 4 monts at least!
