The Vilnius report

Hello boys & girls!

Guess what, I'm baaacckk!!! Aaand I have so much to tell you, and so many places I have to show you! There are a lot of things that have happend in those 2 months that I didn't blog. For example, went to Vilnius, did my internship, went to Bordeaux, graduated, got a job (not necessarily in that order)... But I will tell you all about it in my next posts. I'll do it one per one and we'll start with my Vilnius adventure.

So from 1-5 May, 4 students of our school were asked to participate on an international project. Since I've done 2 IP's before, the school asked me if I wasn't interested in going to Vilnius for a couple of days. How can I say no to a small trip??

So there it was, the 1st May... It was shortly after the attacks at Brussels Airport so I had to be at the airport 3 hours in advance. I totally couldn't find my way around the buildings and the waiting lines were really big so I was really happy when I finally got to my gate.

I went out the night before and I was still a bit tired and maybe even sick (if you know what I mean, talking about a hangover...) But it was so funny because I knew the flight attendant and she gave me chocolates so my trip couldn't have started any better! ;)

It was early in the evening when we finally got to our hotel. No one of the other countries was there so we went to explore the city with just the 4 of us. Went for a nice Chinese dinner and called it a day.

The next day we met the other participants and we were divided into small groups to work on a specific theme. The weather in Vilnius was quite good for that time of the year so I couldn't wait to go out that evening!

That next day we had to get up sooo early to visit some companies. It was a 2h long trip with the bus but thank god they had wifi! I enjoyed myself by making silly snapchats.

I didn't go out in Vilnius because I had to finish my bachelor thesis for school since graduating was more important than beerpong. I have my responsible days as well ;)

There was one thing that I loved about Vilnius. I don't remember the name of the store but 500m from our apartment there was a frozen yoghurt/cupcake store. I felt like I was in heaven! The girl even gave me a customer card and I managed to get 3 stamps so don't even ask how many times a day I passed the store...

Our trip was coming to an end and we (the girls) decided to go out for dinner together. We didn't know where to go but we had a very nice evening. It was on a Friday and so many young people were out on the streets, preparing for a night out.

There are many things to see in Vilnius and everything is quite cheap in comparison to what you pay in Belgium and this goes for everything. They have a lot of pretty buildings and there was a festival the day we had to leave. They had like different "foodtrucks" in the city center from all different countries and their specialities. If you would like any tips about where to go, don't hesitate to contact me!

Turkey day 11

Hello lovebirds,

So we've come to the last day of my Turkey adventure. It's been almost a month since I was there and I really didn't want to post this because I'm still sad that I'm not there anymore. (I do realise I'm writing this while I'm in Vilnius...).

We had breakfast first, and then I packed my bag (which is something I hate!). Our flight was in the evening so we could still chill at the pool and enjoy our last cocktails there.

It was the first time in those 11 days that I got into the pool and could stay there. We also tried it the first days but I got back out immediately since the water was so cold. And ofcourse, I went into the waterslides but I don't consider that as a pool.

And then, all of a sudden, it was time to leave. We had such a good time and we weren't happy at all to leave because when we checked the Belgian weather for the next days, it wasn't looking good at all...

I'm already counting the days to get on that plane again! And seriously, since I'm back in Belgium, I have been looking for the green apple martini's and I haven't found a bar that serves them, that really makes me sad!

We had a very good flight back home. And our pilot was hilarious! I never feel really nervous on a plane but this pilot was so funny that I was totally at ease, those Dutch people...

So I guess that's it, this was my Turkey holiday. And if I can give you 1 word of advice, never fall asleep next to me!

Turkey day 10

What's up guys?

Okay I know, I wanted to write 10 posts in 10 days but I guess that was wishful thinking. But whatever, Here is my post about the last full day I spent in Turkey (still sad about it!)

So first of all, we got up early to get our breakfast, just because we knew it was going to be one of our last ones and we wanted to stuff ourselves with food (I'm not joking). And yes, as you all know, I drank alcohol in the morning, it became a habbit...

We had this thing on our holiday, there were 4 tennis courts. And the people we were with brought 4 rackets so since the day they arrived, we were playing tennis every single day. We played double and it was so much fun, but yet so warm. I'm used to practicing on the ice, not in 30 degrees.

For the last day, I still tried to make some pretty pictures because I love posting pics on Instagram. And I love to walk around with barely any clothes on...

And my nephew was stalking me from day one to get me into the waterslides. I didn't think it was such a good idea because I don't like it when I lose my bikini in the water. But that day, I was wearing a bathingsuit and he didn't change his mind on going into the waterslides. And to be honest, I took some awesome shots right before I got on to the slide. I made some pretty funny videos with my go pro too but I can't seem to get them on the computer, too bad!

Just to let you know, I'm in Vilnius (Lithuania) right now. I'm going to try to post about the last day tomorrow but I'm not promising anything since my days are packed here!

Sweet dreams
